Autoimmune disease
What causes the body to get “confused” and attack itself?
Immune response vs. autoimmune disease
In a normal immune response, the body detects a virus, bacterium or any other toxic substance and goes into action by attacking it. A strong immune system kills the foreign agent sometimes without us even noticing anything. Autoimmune disease, on the other hand, happens when the immune system accidentally attacks the body’s own healthy cells and tissue while attacking the intruder.
Theories
It is not entirely clear why the body attacks itself but experts agree that some theories include: smoking, exposure to toxins, obesity, medications, and/or infections.
Nutrition and health
We at StemFoods Holistics understand the relationship between nutrition and health. A body that is exposed to toxins, junk food, medications, etc., is in need of quality foods and superfoods to combat the effects of those invaders. Antioxidants are at the forefront of fighting free radicals. Free radicals can cause great harm to the body, and a diet low in antioxidants leaves the body vulnerable to a host of diseases. The standard American diet (also called “SAD” because of its initials) is full of junk food, saturated and trans fats and almost zero fruits or vegetables (where antioxidants are found in abundance). This is why StemFoods supplements were created. Loaded with superfood extracts, antioxidants and other immune-boosting, stem-cell supporting ingredients, our supplements provide nutrients not found in our daily diet.
We support everyone’s healthy journey and are always excited to hear testimonials of restored health. If you would like to talk with us about how to improve your health naturally, please visit stemfoods.com.
